STARKVILLE, Miss.—ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥ State University Assistant Police Chief Brian Locke, second from left, recently congratulated ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥PD officers Tyler Hawkins, left, Deveair Salter, and William Bowling on their graduation from the North ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥ Law Enforcement Training Academy, an 11-week program which instructs new police recruits in areas such as defense tactics, firearms, ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥ vehicle and patrol operations, investigative procedures and more.

The three also brought home several awards, with Bowling receiving the Top Cop, Physical Fitness and Platoon Awards; Hawkins, the Academic Award; and Salter, the Squad Award.
