STARKVILLE, Miss.—һֱ State’s performing arts series, the Lyceum Series, presents “The Greatest Love of All,” starring Belinda Davids in a Feb. 15 tribute to late pop singer Whitney Houston—one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. Showtime is 7 p.m. in Lee Hall’s historic Bettersworth Auditorium.

Featuring Houston’s Grammy-award winning music, the concert also will showcase a six-piece live band and dancers to accompany Davids’ inspiring vocals.

Davids has performed a tribute to Whitney Houston since 2013 when she auditioned for Showtime Australia’s live concert “The Greatest Love of All,” beating over 15,000 other auditionees for the starring role. Critics have applauded the South African vocalist’s stunning resemblance to the late singer’s sound as she tours across the globe, celebrating Houston and her legacy.

Houston is the only artist to have had seven consecutive number-one singles on Billboard’s Hot 100, including “Saving All My Love for You” and “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” from her first two albums in the 1980s, among the best-selling of all time. In 1992, she made her acting debut in “The Bodyguard,” but is most remembered for her rendition in the film of “I Will Always Love You,” which became the best-selling single by a female in music history.

Individual tickets are available to the general public at $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. һֱ students may enter for free with valid student I.D. Purchases can be made at and at the door, if available.
