Montana Rep is a major program of the University of Montana’s School of Theatre and Dance. Since being established in 1967, it has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s most dynamic and respected touring companies.

Like Montana Rep, “Barefoot in the Park” also is celebrating a 50th anniversary.
In 1967, Neil Simon’s then-four-year-old Broadway play had its movie premiere with Robert Redford and Jane Fonda in the starring roles. In this story of love, relationship and marriage, the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright has audiences share both the pangs of loss and the joy of reunion.
Newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter are learning to live together in their first home on the top floor of a New York brownstone apartment. It becomes free-spirit Corie’s first tasks to get her conservative lawyer husband to be more easy-going—to appreciate running “barefoot in the park.”
