The National Association for Ethnic Studies, housed in ÌÒ»¨Ö±²¥ State University's Department of Political Science and Public Administration, is now accepting paper proposals for its annual conference that will be held on campus in late March. The paper proposal deadline has been extended to Feb. 15 for students and faculty.
The theme of the 43rd annual conference, which takes place March 26-28, 2015, in Colvard Student Union's Foster Ballroom, is the Voting Rights Act of 1965. All students and scholars interested in race and ethnicity are encouraged to submit a paper proposal.
Please note that although the conference will focus on the Voting Rights Act, participants are encouraged to write papers that reflect all aspects of race and ethnicity within the United States and abroad such as social justice issues, citizenship, migration and immigration, gender and sexual discrimination, issues of disenfranchisement of prison inmates, and people living in regions of ongoing clashes with efforts to decolonize.
